[Bug 569601] Re: unknown conduit in configure
First class work: thank you for the very clear instructions. For reference, no reboot is necessary. Complete the build and install steps, then: killall gpilotd killall gpilot-applet (and allow it to reload when prompted) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569601 Title: unknown conduit in configure -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 315383] [NEW] XLS files cannot be uploaded via POST HTML form: submit button doesn't work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 The package is 3.0.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1 Whilst image files, for example, can be selected and uploaded through the file upload box in an HTML form, the XLS file I am using cannot: the submit button becomes unclickable. No information I can find on the net can explain why this is the case, although I expect it to be related to the way the new file browse box works in FF3, and so-called "security fixes". [Bug 94862] Re: kernel 2.6.20-xx incorrectly claims processor overheating
In my opinion, bug #22336 is _not_ related. That talks about actual overheating, whereas what we are experiencing here is alleged overheating when the hardware is cool. Closer matches would be: * #94862: kernel 2.6.20-xx incorrectly claims processor overheating * #111460: acpi misreports temperature, shuts down laptop -- kernel 2.6.20-xx incorrectly claims processor overheating https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/94862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 111460] Re: acpi misreports temperature, shuts down laptop
I'll try not to make this a me-too post, but my Clevo M121W has exhibited this fault from Breezy to Gutsy. Some kernel upgrades solve it, but most of the time, I recompile the kernel without the THERMAL acpi module. This, I assume, leaves the thermal protection up the BIOS. Here is a forum post I started a long time ago: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=88432 Here is an Open Question I've started asking about recent Gutsy kernel ACPI changes, as the bug went when I installed Gutsy and came back when the latest kernel upgrade came around: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/13735 If anyone could flesh this out more, the three of us at least would be grateful! -- acpi misreports temperature, shuts down laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 23497] Re: i8042 unbind required for keyboard/mouse to be useable following suspend/resume & hibernate/resume cycle
I'm using a Clevo M121W laptop which is displaying these symptoms. The keyboard and mouse can be reclaimed using ssh from another host with the commands in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.20/+bug/23497/comments/17 , but the patched version of acpi- support from Scott doesn't work for me and causes an uncontrolled switch-off crash on resume. Because of the version numbers, it is also a downgrade from the feisty final acpi-support version of 0.95, which causes installation problems. Feeling intrepid, I grabbed the suspend.d and resume.d scripts from the .deb and installed them manually. Still the same violent crash. Is there any reason why applying the commands manually works, but doesn't on resume? Many thanks, J. -- i8042 unbind required for keyboard/mouse to be useable following suspend/resume & hibernate/resume cycle https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/23497 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
