And just for the record: the reason why the default configuration doesn't work, is that the most recent Ubuntu versions ship with Apache 2.4 and it new authorization model. Even though mod_access_compat is enabled, the Order/Allow directives don't work, because the base Apache configuration in Ubuntu uses Require. Obviously one cannot override the new directives with the old ones, despite the compatibility module. This patch changes the date and time format to really use the locale's format. For some reason, the script still doesn't pick up LC_TIME but uses the C locale for formatting. [Bug 496640] [NEW] iwlagn WLAN no longer works after upgrade to 2.6.31-17
Public bug reported: After upgrading to 2.6.31-17, WLAN connections via the iwlagn chipset/driver don't work anymore. The wlan card is still detected, but no APs are detected anymore. It's not a coincidental hardware problem, because it still works when booting into Windows. Trying to boot into 2.6.31-16 from the grub menu still doesn't restore the functionality though. [Bug 472509] [NEW] Notification icon doesn't disappear
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace With the KDE version of Jaunty, the notification icon in the systray disappeared when there wasn't any notification, or all notifications have been explicitly close. Now, with Karmic, the icon stays there and is just greyed-out. I'm not sure if this is a bug or the intended behavior, but it wastes screen estate in any case. [Bug 472518] [NEW] Update notification disappears immediately
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager The icon that should notify me about available updates in the notification area, only flashes shortly for a fracture of a second and disappears immediately. Not that I would be surprised, but I thought that one of the Kubuntu Karmic features was an improved KPackageKit. Actually it got worse because now I don't even know when I have to fire aptitude. Beside that KPackageKit still doesn't show changelogs. Again, not a surprise.
