[Bug 1863282] Re: libreoffice menu bar disappeared
In my case (see comment #4 above) it turned out that the lack of menu was caused by unnecessary presence of indicator-applet-appmenu in my GNOME panel. After removing the applet from panel, the menu was back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1863282 Title: libreoffice menu bar disappeared To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1863282/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1889471] [NEW] After some recent update, GNOME Tweaks titlebar is distorted
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 20.04, after some recent software update (sorry, I don't know which one exactly), the titlebar of GNOME Tweaks application looks distorted, as on the screenshot below (note the grey bars on the left of sidebar's header and between sidebar's and main pane's headers): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- tweaks/uploads/3fc56b8bbc3f390ea8bc0be93d46d3e1/Zrzut_ekranu_z_2020-07-18_23-05-51.png After I resize the window to make the sidebar disappear, and then resize it back to previous size, the window looks again as it looked previously (no extra grey bars): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- tweaks/uploads/5643387a7e3a54379f0211b99149f006/Zrzut_ekranu_z_2020-07-18_23-06-48.png (by the way, note that GNOME Screenshot application in Alt+PrtSc mode did not capture the whole window and left a transparent part on the right, despite the fact that window is correctly displayed in full, as you can see on the screenshot of entire screen - so something's definitely wrong with that window): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME /gnome- tweaks/uploads/55715b42f1f24bf8640a6fcad3a73907/Zrzut_ekranu_z_2020-07-18_23-08-00.png After closing and re-opening the application it looks incorrect again, as in the first screenshot. The screenshots are shown for default Yaru theme, but the same happens for every theme. This issue occurs under Compiz, does not occur under Metacity (I'm using GNOME Flashback desktop). It did not occur a few weeks ago. I created a new user to check if something in my config isn't causing the issue - it occurs on a new user account as well. ** Affects: gnome-tweaks (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1889471 Title: After some recent update, GNOME Tweaks titlebar is distorted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-tweaks/+bug/1889471/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1883423] Re: no menu bar in LibreOffice
That actually helped! Thank you! So now the issue is whether the indicator-appmenu applet is present in panel by default (in that case it's actually a bug, it shouldn't be there) or I accidentally put it there when I was reconfiguring the panel... However, I have no fresh installation to check it... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1883423 Title: no menu bar in LibreOffice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1883423/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1883423] Re: no menu bar in LibreOffice
Kind of - that puts the application menu on the GNOME top panel, and not where it should be, in application window under the title bar (see screenshot: http://rafa.eu.org/share/public/bamfdaemon2.png ). However, it's acceptable as workaround until the bug is properly fixed.
[Bug 1863282] Re: libreoffice menu bar disappeared
Have the same issue, however not on KDE, but on GNOME Flashback in 20.04 (on GNOME shell, the menu is present). Filed a separate bug (#1883423) - can be probably merged. Similarly as in comments above, uninstalling libreoffice-gtk3 package brings the menu back, but it's an ugly "raw" X11 style menu - it loses all the GNOME styling.
[Bug 1779661] Re: Option to change Application Switcher color/opacity is broken
Confirmed in Ubuntu 20.04 GNOME Flashback. [Bug 1883423] [NEW] no menu bar in LibreOffice
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 20.04 with GNOME Flashback session, the top menu bar (File, View etc.) is not present in LibreOffice applications (in regular GNOME Shell, the menu is present OK). There seems to be no way to make the menu appear, except of uninstalling libreoffice-gtk3 package, but then all styling from the GNOME theme is lost and LibreOffice has the "raw" X toolkit look. ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1883423 Title: no menu bar in LibreOffice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1883423/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
