[Bug 845760] Re: Evolution meeting requests have wrong times
Further use shows that the odd time behavior does, in fact, persist in Evolution 3.2.0 on Oneiric, at least for evolution-mapi. Yesterday I was CC'ed on another invitation for the same 1:30 PM meeting I had previously accepted. This duplicate information was distributed via WebEx, to provide the call-in information for those out of the office. The WebEx meeting information did not display as 1:30 PM in Evolution. Rather, this meeting was displayed as 9:30 AM! Since I was skeptical, but yet concerned that there was a second meeting earlier in the morning, I restarted the machine to open Windoze and view the Calendar in Outlook. Sure enough, the meeting was displayed correctly, and slotted correctly in the Outlook Calendar as a second meeting at 1:30PM! I do not get the functionality I need out of Thunderbird added with Oneiric (and although I do use Thunderbird on another computer at home under Windows 7, I do not like the UI in Linux.) And I am getting very frustrated with the reliability of Evolution in my office use. My meeting acceptances are now being added with the correct time. I am using Evolution 3.2.0 on Oneiric. HOWEVER, the acceptances do not seem to display until I restart Evolution, and when they do, the default meeting reminder is not set (even if the meeting is requested with a reminder.) I am seeing this issue as well. My setup is similar (Evolution 2.32.2, using Exchange MAPI, on Natty x64, etc.) The time differential for me is four hours. The meeting start time should be 3:00 PM EST, but is listed as 7:00 PM. I have verified that Evolution is configured to use the system time zone (America/New_York), which is correct. And there is no Second Zone selected. The Exchange server, in my case is Exchange v6.5 (Exchange 2003). This is unusual. The meeting organizer is in the same office, using the same Exchange server. [Bug 786995] Re: Column Index Letters Overlap Content of Row 1
I have tried to anonymize this workbook. But to do so I need to remove some data, alter other data, and rename some sheet tabs. Firstly, I cannot even see the tabs. Not only do the column headers and column labels (A-Z, etc.) appear garbled, but the tabs are not visible. And the row numbers appear to be garbled here and there as well. The issue is more involved than originally stated. The subject file is an Excel 2007 XSLX, of about 1.5MB in size, with VLOOKUPs between sheets. If I rename sheets the VLOOKUPs are broken. This workbook was originally created by and shared with users of MS Office 2007. I have just modified the file in LibreOffice. I did not have such issues as this with OpenOffice, but I also could not Save-As an Excel 2007 XSLX in OpenOffice. It is so much more difficult to work with XLSX when you have to first copy the file then modify the new copy, rather than just performing a Save-As . So I have taken the Natty change to LibreOffice because of this XSLX ability, but with some reservations due to stability and usability with large files such as I have here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/786995 Title: Column Index Letters Overlap Content of Row 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I do not know if giving you a file will help so much. I will have to do some anonymizing to provide the file that is at issue. This is a fairly small file, created in Excel 2007, and pasting 30-40 multi-row column headers from a second file is where the issue came up. Slight modification to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source /notify-osd/+bug/331369/comments/93, above. [Bug 782710] [NEW] Cannot install LibreOffice 3.3.2 with OOo 3.3
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libreoffice error trying to overwrite '/usr/share/mime/packages/openoffice.org.xml', which is also in package openoffice.org-debian-menus The two applications should not share a file which, if present, prevents their installation. This also smacks of licens infringement, unless this is an agreement between OOo and LibreOffice.org. ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/782710 Title: Cannot install LibreOffice 3.3.2 with OOo 3.3 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 782710] Re: Cannot install LibreOffice 3.3.2 with OOo 3.3
Well it is nice to hear that no such package exists. But give it a whirl. Try installing OOo 3.3 with LibreOffice 3.3.2 in place, and you will see an error similar to this. Or perform the reverse, install LibreOffice with OOo installed. A nearly identical error is emitted. Granted I only went through this because of the issues LibreOffice has with printing multi-tabbed Calc sheets as well as the hanging that occurs when pasting large numbers of rows to a sheet. But I failed to recall that OOo cannot Save-As Microsoft Office 2003/2007 format, so I had to revert my changes and cleanly reinstall LibreOffice, only to see a message like that noted above. I just thought you should know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/782710 Title: Cannot install LibreOffice 3.3.2 with OOo 3.3 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 782710] Re: Cannot install LibreOffice 3.3.2 with OOo 3.3
I may have pasted the error from the OOo installation. But the message was similar for the LibreOffice installation; both noted the failure to overwrite openoffice.org.xml. I see now your confusion with interpreting the point of my bug report. I am sorry I was unclear. But in both scenarios I just described above, an error will be logged for LibreOffice installation not being able to overwrite the openoffice.org.xml used by OOo, or OOo installation not being able to overwrite the openoffice.org.xml used by LibreOffice.

[Bug 565697] Re: nvidia dual monitor seperate x server mouse cursor gets stuck
This is similar to the issues that I have had since applying a security update last week to Maverick. After the update cause significant instability of the overall system, I was finally forced to upgrade to Natty. Now I cannot get use of the second monitor in any satisfactory manner. With Xinerama I see nothing more than a mirror of Monitor 0. No functionality on Monitor 1 at all. Without Xinerama, I cannot drag windows to Monitor 0 as I need to do, and I have to resort to using the dock on both monitors. And the larger second display, Monitor 1, renders only the image of the primary display at the same size, i.e. only 1280x800 of the larger monitor is used. With TwinView there is very poor experience for two different resolutions. And I find this setup useless. With upgrades like this I might just have t remain using Windoze XP Despite its lackluster performance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/565697 Title: nvidia dual monitor seperate x server mouse cursor gets stuck -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 774058] [NEW] Installer crashes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity Installer crashed when upgrading from 10.10. Error message asked to file a bug here and include syslog and partlog. But files could not be retrieved as low disk space was reported and UI was not functional. Was able to get to view system information however, which stated that only 1.35 GB of 4.5 GB was in use. I repeated the process, but still hit the same crash. I could see the log files but could not retrieve them in either case due to instability of the UI. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774058 Title: Installer crashes -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
