[Bug 1818381] Re: Two finger scroll does not work after hibernate

2019-03-11 Thread Jeff Vehrs
Okay. I checked the POWER setting. You're correct. It only showed
Suspend (no hibernate).

Anyway, I commented out "blacklist i2c_i801" and rebooted. After
suspend, two finger scroll works.

[Bug 1818381] Re: Two finger scroll does not work after hibernate

2019-03-09 Thread Jeff Vehrs
apport information

** Description changed:

Two finger scroll does not work in Chromium browser after HIBERNATION. I
restarted Chromium browser and it did not resolve two finger scroll issue. I
log out, then log back on. Again, it did not resolve two finger scroll issue.
SO, I rebooted and it did resolved two finger scroll issue. It happened often
ONLY after HIBERNATION.

2019-03-08 Thread Jeff Vehrs
Sorry. I was very busy this week. Ugh. Hmm. No. I did "apport-collect" long
after the incident (Sat) on Monday evening.

Do you want me to "apport-collect" right after the incident? I can
replicate the issue (two finger scroll stops working).

[Bug 1800260] [NEW] close, minimize, maximize buttons look funny

2018-10-26 Thread Jeff Vehrs
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Release:18.04

Channel:Stable
Version:70.0.3538.67
Updated:10/19/2018
License:Free
Developer: Canonical
Source: Snap Store
Installed Size: 148.2 MB

Settings -> Appearance: "Use system title bar and borders" was turned
off. Close, minimize, maximize buttons became oval (more of stretched
down) instead of circle. Turned back it on, buttons went back to normal
shape (circle). It's a repeatable action.

** Affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1790110] Re: Xscreensaver overrides vlc smplayer and caffeine

2018-09-02 Thread Jeff Vehrs
I have a same experience with ESPN from Firefox playing the video (in
full screen) of Miami-LSU football game. Screensaver came on once too
many times. It shouldn't be happening as it's 18.04 version! It felt
like some developer took out the "fix" code out.

[Bug 957683] Re: [HP LAPTOPS] wifi disconnect/connect when A/C unplug and plugin

2012-04-03 Thread Jeff Vehrs
FWIW, the wireless network card (HP EliteBook 6930p) is NOT Broadcom at
all. Here's the correct information: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100
AGN [Shiloh] Network Connection. Even with Linux 3.2.0-20-generic-pae,
wifi still disconnect/reconnect when I unplug the A/C. AND, it
disconnect/reconnect when I plug the A/C back on. It's frustrating when
I do not know which log that captured this annoying issue. Thanks.

[Bug 32906] Re: sudo shouldn’t ABSOLUTELY NEED to look up the host it’s running on

2008-04-23 Thread Jeff Vehrs
I upgraded 7.10 to 8.04 today (23-04-2008). sudo was borked due to
unable to resolve host. I removed 127.0.1.1 montreal.ubuntu.com
ubuntu from /etc/hosts file in recovery mode. BAM! It worked perfectly.

[Bug 107115] Re: log out or switch user results in crash

2007-06-28 Thread Jeff Vehrs
I have this (really annoying) problem. When I log off, the box just
hanged with a blank screen. Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, Ctrl+Alt+Delete OR
Ctrl+Alt+F1(F2-7) don't work at all. Had to hard-reboot the box.

Release: Dapper 6.06.1 LTS
Uname: Linux firestorm 2.6.15-28-686 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu May 10 09:56:30 UTC
2007 i686 GNU/Linux
Fglrx: OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: MOBILITY RADEON X600 Generic
OpenGL version string: 2.0.5814 (8.25.18)

Note: I do NOT have beryl or compiz installed. Just plain good ol'
Dapper. Also, workaround(s) does NOT work. *sigh*

[Bug 79323] Re: Daylight Saving changes in Western Australia

2007-03-26 Thread Jeff Vehrs
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 91637 ***

What the hell?!? I received updates today (including evolution,
evolution-data-server, evolution-plugins lib files). The appointment
in Clock applet does NOT match appointment in evolution again! I don't
understand why the patch (#301363) was not implemented?! off to fix
Chicago.ics

[Bug 79323] Re: Daylight Saving changes in Western Australia

2007-03-13 Thread Jeff Vehrs
I have had a problem with mine as well. America/Chicago timezone. I
modified Chicago.ics and it worked. There is an update timezones patch
in gnome-bug #301363 that needed to be upstream (submitted) to Ubuntu
Dapper Edgy updates.

Thanks.

[Bug 85216] Re: changing the name of some application doesn't work

2007-02-27 Thread Jeff Vehrs
It is a (way too) long standing bug for Dapper. It is very annoying for
not being fixed. Isn't Dapper a Long Term Support?

Please squash this bug. Thank you.

[Bug 26023] Re: Can't change font size for printing messages in evolution, and default size is too large

2006-09-12 Thread Jeff Vehrs
Yep. Evolution. I have this exact same problem with font size when
printing. It was INSANELY large on printed paper. I have to tape the
paper on the wall and read it from a comfort distance (literally).

There are quite few threads on this issue at ubuntuforums. Thus, it has
been NOT resolved for a long time. Past due.

[Bug 35229] Re: totem-xine crash on logo (workaround inside)

2006-07-04 Thread Jeff Vehrs
Today (Jul 4th), I found out that totem(-xine) crashed. I did scaled
down the png file from 1280 to 1024. It worked. For pete's sake, the fix
is very much needed to kill this bug.
