[Bug 555238] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in jpc_qmfb_join_colgrp()
I just came across the same problem after downloading a .jp2 file off the web (Running Ubuntu 10.10). Looking at !/.xsession-errors.old I found: ICC Profile CS 52474220 nautilus: jp2_dec.c:299: jp2_decode: Assertion `dec-image-cmprof_' failed. Initializing nautilus-gdu extension Deleting the .jp2 file fixed the issue. I don't have any need for the .jp2 files, but this is a serious issue. Anyone who downloads a jp2 file will be unable to use their desktop without deleting the file from a command line. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555238 Title: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in jpc_qmfb_join_colgrp() -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 616023] Re: nVidia card : X won't start since 1.9 update, no screens found
I can confirm that option #3 in message #2 works for me. -- nVidia card : X won't start since 1.9 update, no screens found https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/616023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 274734] Re: [2.6.27] zd1211rw prevent the computer to suspend
I too was experiencing a hibernation hang running Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid Ibex with the 2.6.27-11-generic kernel. I did not have a problem hibernating in 8.04, so I figured there could be a new kernel module conflict. I experimented with removing different kernel modules before hibernating and noticed that hibernate worked after removing the zd1211rw module. I ran the experiment several times to confirm the fix, then did some google searching and came across this bug. I tried ld2ndR's script, and can confirm that his script works. So I thought I'd write and help push the bug along! Cheers! :-) -- [2.6.27] zd1211rw prevent the computer to suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 131133] Re: [gutsy] no sound on Dell Latitude D630/D830/Inspiron 1300/Precision M4300/Vostro 1500/1700/Apple Aluminium iMac/Acer TM6292 pci id 8086:284b
I tried everything in this thread, but none of it worked on an Inspiron 1721. However, I was surprisingly able to fix my problems by removing the alsa package with: sudo apt-get remove alsa I think the problem (in my case) may be that Dell model numbers ending in a 1 (ie, 1721, 1521, 1421, as opposed to 1720, 1520, and 1420) are ATI/AMD based systems, but the ALSA package is mistaking installing drivers for Intel based systems. After removing alsa running: lspci | grep udio Now returns: 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia Also, running: asoundconf list Now returns: SB Before removing the alsa package, asoundcond list returned nothing. -- [gutsy] no sound on Dell Latitude D630/D830/Inspiron 1300/Precision M4300/Vostro 1500/1700/Apple Aluminium iMac/Acer TM6292 pci id 8086:284b https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
