[Bug 1427795] Re: the lock screen/log out window is stuck rendering desktop unusable
For me this issue occured when I also had the #815996 bug. I was able to workaround the first but then got stuck with this logout window. But Workaround found! Simply click "Turn off..." (or whatever it is in english version) and the logout window will be replaced by the turn off window, which will be possible to close normally. At least this worked for me, just when I had given up... :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427795 Title: the lock screen/log out window is stuck rendering desktop unusable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1427795/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 586528] Re: keyboard doesn't work after screensaver shuts down the monitor
For me this bug has been resolved by upgrading to 11.04. This is very fortunate since I was affected by the bug about 5 times/day, making it pretty anoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586528 Title: keyboard doesn't work after screensaver shuts down the monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/586528/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 546512] Re: New computer won't wake up after screensaver goes off
I seem to have the same problem. I have turned off suspend/hibernate as those features does not work at all anyway. The screensaver blanks the screen after 5 minutes, I have no problem waking it up if I do it relatively soon after the screensaver kicked in. However, if I am away for a longer period (haven't measured the exact time) I can't get any response from the computer anymore. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04. ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546512 Title: New computer won't wake up after screensaver goes off -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 586528] Re: keyboard doesn't work after screensaver shuts down the monitor
I have now upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 and the issue remains for me, unfortunately. Have also tried to change screensaver to xscreensaver but the behavior was the same, so I wonder if this bug is really related with gnome-screensaver. It is probably deeper down somewhere. -- keyboard doesn't work after screensaver shuts down the monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/586528 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 107232] Re: Very low volume with HDA/ALC883
I suggest you to edit: /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base Adding the following line: options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch That worked for me, the volume is still not high, but at least high enough to be usable.
