[Bug 683609] Re: icons in music source and music folder dropdown are different size

2010-12-06 Thread Jensen Somers
I attached a patch to the original Gnome bug report yesterday which uses
the Gtk.Icon.SizeLookup () function to determine the actual size of the
theme icons (see
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=175841action=edit),
because 16 is not a guaranteed size for all themes and all icon sets.
The folder list is a default Gtk folder browser control, so there's no
work to be done on that one.

But it was pointed out in the original bug report that the reason it's
so large and bold is most likely done to have it stand out a bit. If
that's the case I agree with Andreas that it should be converted into a
sidebar. That looks to be more consistent with other applications and
similar screens.

Unfortunately that requires more work than I have time for right now, so
feel free to take a look at that, but make sure you notify people via
the original Gnome bug report so the Banshee developers are aware that
someone is working on the issue.

[Bug 635031] [NEW] Totem's Resize window on video load resizes 2:1 instead of 1:1

2010-09-10 Thread Jensen Somers
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

Using Ubuntu 10.10 (installed from the Beta CD but kept up-to-date)
using Totem Movie Player 2.31.6.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Check the Resize the window when a new video is loaded option.
2. Close Totem Movie player.
3. Start a video file from within Nautilus. (The same thing occurs when using
File - Open.)

In my case the window is indeed resized, but to a 2:1 zoom level instead
of the default 1:1 zoom level.

[Bug 468634] [NEW] Weird, dull sound when muting/unmuting or starting to play sound

2009-11-01 Thread Jensen Somers
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

I installed the RC of Karmic a week ago and I noticed an annoying issue.

When muting or unmuting the sound, or when I start playing a music file I keep
getting a weird noise which sounds like headphones being jacked in or out.
When the sound is muted and a music file is started it also occurs.

Please let me know if more detailed information is required and how I

[Bug 146346] Re: [gustsy] install doesn't creates symbolic link to wwww

2007-10-06 Thread Jensen Somers
The symlink was needed in previous versions to make the package web-
accessible. This is no longer needed because the package is configured
directly from within the web server. So surfing to

advised security wise.

If you do an upgrade from a previous install the post installation
