[Bug 1307069] Re: gpu-manager causing long startup delays

2016-05-13 Thread Jeremy Graham-Cumming
This seems to still be present in 16.04. I'm experiencing very slow boot
because of gpu-manager - from systemd-analyze:

gpu-manager.service (50.583s)

Any thoughts?

[Bug 713198] Re: Power button delay dialog in kde 4.6+

2012-03-21 Thread Jeremy Graham-Cumming
I had the same issue with Kubuntu 11.10 which seems to be caused by
/etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh being missing.

I reinstalled acpid and powerbtn.sh was created.

This seems to have cured the problem.

[Bug 713198] Re: Power button delay dialog in kde 4.6+

2012-03-21 Thread Jeremy Graham-Cumming
Correction - reinstalling acpid does create the missing file, but
approx 20sec delay/freeze after pressing the power button is still
present following a reboot.

Using Kubuntu 11.10 with KDE 4.7.4

Can confirm that the power dialog pops instantly for subsequent presses
of the power button in a session.
