[Bug 537934] [NEW] changelog link is broken
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager update-manager fails to display a changelog for certain packages, e.g. openoffice.org-sdbc-postgresql, ure, etc. and the link provided (http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/1%3A0.7.6+OOo3.1.1-5ubuntu1.1/+changelog , http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/1.5.1+OOo3.1.1-5ubuntu1.1/+changelog , etc.) is broken. The correct links are https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1.1/+changelog . Apparently, update-manger is not realizing that these packages have different names between their source and binary versions. [Bug 537942] [NEW] Add label to distinguish installed from candidate versions in Changes for the versions text
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager The three lines that start all update descriptions are: Changes for the versions followed by two, unexplained, version strings. It would be much better to simply add the words: Installed and New before the respective version strings. It's a one-line change in MyCache.py (plus changing the translations...) ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Add label to distinguish installed from candidate versions in Changes for the versions text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537942 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 505406] Re: Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned
Investigating further, I see that most of the images seem to have problems. I've now looked through all but 6; I'll do the rest tomorrow. The problems I found are as follows: O Life (http://www.flickr.com/photos/irsen_flow/3806685902 ), Bay (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fstopper/2950042567/ ), Frog (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fstopper/3718165490/ ), and Shoes (http://www.flickr.com/photos/letoloke/2752418092/ ), are labeled as All-rights-reserved on flickr -- so we'll need to track down what exactly license they agreed privately to offer to the Ubuntu project, or ask them again. White Orchid ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/forteller/48036068/ ), Flor de Loto (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pablomeneses/3218431048/ ), Grass in A (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewkneebone/3544313849/ ), Naranja (http://www.flickr.com/photos/teleyinex/2945647308/ ), and Palmengarten (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rene-germany/1478690483/ ) are under CC-BY-SA-2.0 on flickr, not CC-BY-2.0, so we'll need to either get them changed, or include both licenses in the copyright file. Misty Morning (http://www.flickr.com/photos/piotrzurek/1399412798/ ) is under CC-BY-NC-SA-2.0 on flickr, which isn't even acceptable for Ubuntu, I think. We'll need to check on that. And Butterfly.jpg has no mention in the AUTHORS file at all, isn't in the Ubuntu Artwork Karmic Release Shortlist pool on Flickr, and isn't findable through TinEye (reverse image source). We need a source and license for this one. -- Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 505406] Re: Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned
OK, I've done the last 6, and 4 of them had problems. Floating Stones (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fstopper/3586915842/ ) is labeled as All-rights-reserved on flickr. The other one by Piotr, Radioactive Sunrise (http://www.flickr.com/photos/piotrzurek/645493473/ ) and The Rainbow is Dead ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/roomurdock/3294531381/ ) are under CC-BY-NC-SA-2.0 on flickr. Sunset ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/difusa/2284799784/ ) is under CC-BY-NC-ND-2.0 on flickr, which is obviously unacceptable. -- Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 505406] [NEW] Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-wallpapers According to http://www.flickr.com/photos/digital_junkie/3703411842/ (the flickr page for the Climbing.jpg image), it was taken by digital.junkie / Davin Andrie and is licensed under CC-BY-2.0. But the AUTHORS file says only Climbling by David Andrie, misspelling his name and failing to mention the license, which is different (although compatible) from the license of the whole package, CC-BY-SA-2.5, according to it's copyright file. ** Affects: ubuntu-wallpapers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Climbing.jpg's author is mispelled, and license isn't mentioned https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 336210] Re: Package description is incomplete and misleading
Probably this package should be moved to the original uploaders PPA (see https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA for explanation), as it seems clearly unsuitable for the universe repo. [Bug 430511] [NEW] Outgoing mail stops working
Public bug reported: Since about a month ago, Evolution has suddenly stopped sending outbound mail after several items have been successfully sent. After some period of time where sending mail works fine, something in Evolution causes mail to start piling up in the Outbox. If I close Evolution and re-open it and then hit Send/Receive the mail gets sent. There are other users that have this exact same issue as evidenced by posts on ubuntuforums.org. What I've observed is that if I start Evolution from within a Terminal, it does not exhibit this behavior. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit with all of the latest updates and Evolution 2.2.61 from the default Ubuntu repos. [Bug 430511] Re: Outgoing mail stops working
This bug was *created* from a question; making another one is just a duplicate. I'm not sure what the software didn't change means -- this bug is showing (maybe) that there is a problem with the current version of the software which causes it to break after a while. It doesn't matter if the software changes or not... -- Outgoing mail stops working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430511 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
