[Bug 1530708] Re: Trying to play video results in two thumbnails in gallery and failure to connect with playback backend.
Turns out I wasn't using a clean installation, but one modified via apt-get. I cannot see a way to delete the report, but it should be deleted. I'm sorry if I wasted somebody's time. ** Changed in: gallery-app (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1530708 Title: Trying to play video results in two thumbnails in gallery and failure to connect with playback backend. [Bug 1512327] Re: [dialer-app] Can't hang up phone calls
I had this happen to me once on a Bq E5. It hasn't happened again and I wouldn't know how to reproduce it though. It was an incoming call. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512327 Title: [dialer-app] Can't hang up phone calls To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1512327/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1530708] [NEW] Trying to play video results in two thumbnails in gallery and failure to connect with playback backend.
Public bug reported: Upon uploading the attached video file to the Videos directory and using the File Manager app to open it and select the gallery app for handling the video, two thumbnails appear in the gallery, and upon trying to actually play any of them, an error pops up saying "Error playing video. [Bug 1530706] Re: Gallery fails to thumbnail .mkv file and media player won't play it
** Description changed: I'm having trouble playing a rather large file (954.6 MB). Upon selecting the gallery for playing, it freezes and creates a qt_temp file and that eventually grows to the same size as the original file. After that the video appears in the gallery, but no thumbnail is generated, and when trying to play it, the media player app opens, showing a black screen and the play controls at 00:00 TC.
