[Bug 546201] Re: [LUCID Beta 1] Brightness Fn keys don't work as expected on Sony Vaio VGN FW35G. Regression.
I have an Acer Aspire 7740 with intel integrated graphics. I have this same problem. When the function keys are pressed, Ubuntu Lucid (Beta 2) notification shows that it is dimming or brightening, but the screen brightness does not change. Power Management settings do not change the brightness either. It is always bright. -- [LUCID Beta 1] Brightness Fn keys don't work as expected on Sony Vaio VGN FW35G. [Bug 482985] Re: openshot won't open in Ubuntu 9.10
Andy, In comment #4 you give these instructions: --- Did you follow these instructions? 1) Remove OpenShot and MLT using Synaptic. 2) Then, look for the following files and delete them if you find them: - mlt.py - _mlt.so - mlt_wrap.o (they could be in /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/ or /usr/local, depending on your installation method) 3) Finally, re-install OpenShot and MLT using Synaptic (and the new experimental PPA) I did not find any of the above listed files, but in /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/ there was mlt.pyc . I deleted it then reinstalled and Openshot started up correctly!
