[Bug 1312236] Re: No dvorak layout option
@iamsylvie, I have a device that I can test on. However, I am not able to build the ubuntu-keyboard project at this time on Ubuntu 16.04. (I might be able to with a VM of with 15.04.) I think the special characters could either stay where they are or do the same move from a full-sized keyboard to dvorak layout (e.g. '[' to '/' and ']' to '='). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1312236 Title: No dvorak layout option To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-keyboard/+bug/1312236/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1493888] Re: FGLRX incompatible with gcc 5
Thanks Philip. The link to Ubuntu 15.10 boot hangs when starting lightdm helped me too. I had my system set to auto login to my user account but I could not log out or disable the auto login without having lightdm hang on startup. Now I can logout again! According to that link, in the Ubuntu 15.10 release notes, they said to uninstall fglrx before upgrading to 15.10. That would have avoided the problem lightdm hanging. I still have an issue where Ctrl-Alt-F1 to F6 do not work for me when fglrx is installed but that is probably a separate issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1493888 Title: FGLRX incompatible with gcc 5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/1493888/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1479913] Re: SRU request: fglrx.ko fails because of backported GPL-only 'pci_ignore_hotplug' symbol
I updated to the 3.19.0-26 kernel today and the fglrx-core package failed to install when dkms tried to install it. Switching to the fglx packages here in the proposed branch solved my issue. It would seem that these packages need to be promoted from the proposed branch since others will have issues with upgrading to the kernel. (Booting to the old kernel did not work. I guess that when the dkms failed to run for the new kernel, it also didn't run for the old kernel.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1479913 Title: SRU request: fglrx.ko fails because of backported GPL-only 'pci_ignore_hotplug' symbol To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1479913/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1385931] Re: package virtualbox (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
this seems to be a problem of the official virtualbox, not the debian one, so I can't help :) Or some kind of conflict. It seems at least my problem was not doing a purge on the manually installed virtualbox-4.3 before installing virtualbox from Ubuntu. However, my error was different than what was initially reported! Anyway, the fix for me was to do: sudo apt-get purge virtualbox-4.3 sudo apt-get install virtualbox This is the error I get if I just do a remove (not a purge) on virtualbox-4.3: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... [Bug 1385931] Re: package virtualbox (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Do you have any other virtualbox in your system? Yes Did you correctly clean them up? No I had this issue happen by installing virtualbox-4.3_4.3.22-98236~Ubuntu~raring_amd64.deb using dpkg and then attempting to install the virtualbox package. However, even if I remove virtualbox-4.3 before installing virtualbox, the problem still occurs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385931 Title: package virtualbox (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virtualbox/+bug/1385931/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 967091] Re: Wrong tint in flash when it uses video acceleration
MC Reezy, did you apply one of the workarounds? You may need to remove libvdpau1 and reinstall the Ubuntu version. I followed what pst007x (turone) wrote on 2012-04-02. He provided the link to: http://askubuntu.com/questions/117127/flash-video-appears-blue. The fix at the top involves adding a repository ppa:tikhonov/misc to use a special patched version of libvdpau1. To revert back to the Ubuntu libvdpau1, I disabled the repository and then followed the steps to enable proposed updates. Here's what I did: Open Update Manager. Click on Settings, then click on the Other Software tab. Uncheck (or remove) the tikhonov repository. Remove libvdpau1 at the command line with sudo apt-get remove libvdpau1. Check that flash videos (e.g. YouTube) are blue again. Open Update Manager. Click on Settings, then click on the Updates tab. Check the checkbox next to Pre-released updates (precise-proposed). Close Software Sources. At Update Manager, click on Check. There should be about 59 or so updates that come up. If you just want libvdpau1, unselect all the updates by clicking the box next to proposed, then look for libvdpau1 in the list and check it. Click install updates. Once the update(s) is installed, you can go back to software sources and deselect proposed updates. Check that flash videos (e.g. YouTube) are fixed. Of course, if you applied a different fix, you will have to follow different steps to undo what you did. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/967091 Title: Wrong tint in flash when it uses video acceleration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libvdpau/+bug/967091/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 969535] Re: [power]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in engine_get_icon_priv()
The fix is working well. No more crashes and back to a normal desktop. The workaround for configuring displays (sticky edges and launcher placement) was to turn off xinerama and make the changes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/969535 Title: [power]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in engine_get_icon_priv() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/969535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
