[Bug 491450] [NEW] Does not work at all

2009-12-02 Thread Johnny Proton
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

Guys, just take this application down and stop advertising it.

As far as I can tell, doing any of these actions to the files in your
Ubuntu One folder will cause crashes and/or conflict files:

  * Moving a file
  * Renaming a file
  * Deleting a file

What exactly can this thing do then? Are you seriously telling people
to use this piece of shit?

[Bug 463917] Re: Program patch not installed by default in UNR

2009-11-03 Thread Johnny Proton
The Broadcom modules are included by default in UNR, and please stop
calling me Shirley.

Seriously, am I the only one who has complained about being unable to
use this out of the box? This was never a problem in the past releases.
I can't be the only HP/Dell Mini user out there who was unable to use
UNR.

[Bug 443185] Re: Unable to activate Broadcom b43 after STA driver

2009-10-29 Thread Johnny Proton
I am on a HP Mini 110 and this does not work in the Netbook Remix. Is
this issue supposed to be resolved now? I had to manually install from
the USB Key:

* dkms
* bcwml-kernel-source

And it still won't let me activate the driver. I've even made sure to
do a clean restart while plugged into the ethernet and that didn't help.

[Bug 463917] [NEW] Program patch not installed by default in UNR

Public bug reported:

This is actually very important for Netbook Remix users.

I was unable to activate my Broadcom wireless card for the majority of

I don't think so... Many Netbooks come with a Broadcom chip and if the
installation of the bmcwl package fails, then they won't be able to use
wifi.

Seems pretty critical to Netbook Remix to me.

[Bug 411137] [NEW] Need button to go to random image

2009-08-09 Thread Johnny Proton
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

I like EOG a *lot* but it seems that it is missing one basic function
that I use a lot. Randomize.

I would prefer either of these solutions to be implemented:

  1. Map a keyboard press to Random in addition to the Forward and Backward
buttons that
already are in full screen mode. If this button already exists, could
someone let me know?
  2. Give the ability to Randomize on a slideshow. Other viewers offer this
ability.

Either of these solutions would work for me, but I would prefer #1
because I don't really use slideshow mode very often, but am forced to.

PS: I am trying to switch from GQview because I believe that program was
corrupting some files. Any help in migrating from legacy software would
be awesome! I would be willing to pay a small amount to have the first
feature implemented.

[Bug 300637] Re: autofill problem evolution enter breaks address

2009-06-29 Thread Johnny Proton
In order to replicate this but, you must:

1. Start a NEW email from evolution. If you don't do it on the first time, it
won't happen.
2. Click the and recipient field (TO, CC, BCC)
3. Type the part of the email address just before the @ symbol
4. Let the autocomplete suggestion appear after your cursor
5. Hit TAB or ENTER

If you don't see it, you need to CLOSE the email and then open a new one
again.

Once you do these steps, it will happen. I promise. It is very
annoying.

It should follow the same autolookup and share the code between

[Bug 373702] [NEW] Autocompletion Problem on TAB Press

2009-05-08 Thread Johnny Proton
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

This happens to me all the time.

If I'm typing an address of a user I have in my address book, say
Johnny Proton joh...@123.com for example.

I start typing johnn and the autocomplete kicks in and finds that
user, and completes the address for me.

If at that time I hit TAB instead of ENTER, it sometimes decides to
enter this in the address bar:

   Johnn, y Proton joh...@123.com

This of course gets stuck in the outbox and wont send.

Of course, now I cannot replicate this but I swear it happens at least 5
times a day to me.

[Bug 295121] [NEW] Bad organization of toolbars in Evolution Composer

2008-11-07 Thread Johnny Proton
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When I'm composing a Text email, the toolbars look fine.

But if I switch my text email to an HTML formatted one, a second
formatting toolbar appears underneath the original formatting toolbar.
It has HTML-only formatting functions on it.

Logically this is all fine, but I am trying to conserve as much
*vertical* space as I can and having 2 small toolbars on top of
eachother would be better if I could have them next to each other. I
don't understand why Ubuntu deviated from the normal Evo behavior in
this one.

The standard word kerning on the Ubunbu Beta version of OO.org is just

[Bug 38512] Re: Window close should close, not quit

2008-04-25 Thread Johnny Proton
RIDICULOUS!!!

Every other application that resides in the system tray (or whatever it
is called in Ubuntu) minimizes to that tray when the X in the upper
right of the application window is clicked. Only Rythmbox actually
quits when I click that button.

This has been a problem for years and while Rythmbox has gotten much
better, this has not been addressed.

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE WAKE UP OVER THERE AND FIX THIS???

EVEN DEVELOPERS HAVE FIGURED THIS BUG OUT LONG AGO.

RIDICULOUS!!!

Every other application that resides in the system tray (or whatever it
is called in Ubuntu) minimizes to that tray when the X in the upper
right of the application window is clicked. Only Rythmbox actually quits
when I click that button.

[Bug 38512] Re: Window close should close, not quit

2008-04-25 Thread Johnny Proton
It should be a Gnome thing, but the Gnome Apps should shre a comon
interface and behavior Rythmbox could exily fix in their own code and
at least the platform would be consistent.

Make it a law later, because everyone agrees.

[Bug 70277] Unable to import certain OGG Tracks

2006-11-04 Thread Johnny Proton
Public bug reported:

I have no idea why Banshee can't import files like this but I'll send
you one that it was unable to import. Let me know and I can email one
to you or post it through this interface though I don't know how to
create an attachment here.

The file it's having trouble with is:

Alice In Chains - Dirt - 08 - God Smack.ogg

But it was unable to import any of the tracks from this CD. The import
error is reported like:

Message: 0 Parameter name: length
File Name: /media/DIGITITIS/music/by_artist/alice_in_chains/dirt/Alice In
Chains - Dirt - 08 - God Smack.ogg
