[Bug 1729391] Re: Trackpad stops responding after suspend

2017-11-07 Thread Jonathan Elchison
My data points:
* Broken on 4.13.0-16-generic
* Works on 4.10.0-37-generic

Both data points were gathered after having upgraded from Ubuntu 17.04
to 17.10 on my Dell XPS 9Q33 laptop.

[Bug 1718654] Re: Touchpad input doesn't work after longer suspend.

2017-11-06 Thread Jonathan Elchison
Concur, thanks for the guidance. This touchpad behavior seems to have
been introduced between 4.10.0-37-generic and 4.13.0-16-generic.

Other folks experiencing this issue should attempt booting into your
last-known-good kernel.

In my case, evtest succeeds before suspend. Then provides no data after
suspend. Last line that prints is "Testing ..."

[Bug 1111882] Re: GnuTLS recv error (-9): A TLS packet with unexpected length was received

2014-05-09 Thread Jonathan Elchison
Thanks, Wolverine.

I've confirmed that the workaround posted at http://askubuntu.com/a/187199
succeeds in the following environment:
* git 1.9.1-1
* Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on i686

For the record, the workaround I'm posting recompiles git with libcurl4
-openssl-dev (instead of libcurl4-gnutls-dev).
