Hi I have a Toshiba satellite A70 with Phoenix bios running Ubuntu 8.10 kernel 2.6.27-11-server and I get the same message (from dmesg) [0.40] ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC [0.40] ...trying to set up timer (IRQ0) through the 8259A ... [0.40] . (found apic 0 pin 2) ... [0.501963] ... works. But apparently the computer is working fine.
