[Bug 1898450] [NEW] Upgrade to 20.04 did not complete successfuly

2020-10-04 Thread Jorge Martelanz
Public bug reported:

Upgrading from 18.04 to 20.04. Just at the end of the upgrade procedure
I got a window as

Could not install 'initramfs-tools'
The upgrade will continue but the 'initramfs-tools' package may not be in a
working state. Please consider submitting a but report about it.
installed initramfs-tools package post-installation script subprocess returned
error exit status 1

After closing that window, I found other window behind it stating

Upgrade complete
The upgrade has completed but there were errors during the upgrade process

Closed that window but the system did not reboot automatically.

Is it safe to reboot? Any other action from my side before rebooting?

Thanks for your help
Jorge

[Bug 1563900] [NEW] xts-plain64 encryption method missing in linux-image-3.16.0-67-generic

2016-03-30 Thread Jorge Martelanz
Public bug reported:

Running Ubuntu 14.4.0.4

I have the root disk encrypted with aes-xts-plain64

After upgrading to linux-image-3.16.0-67-generic I was not able to boot
getting message cryptsetup: cryptsetup failed, bad password or options?

Trying to decrypt manually the disk shows the xts-plain64 method
missing.

After reverting to linux-image-3.16.0-62-generic the password was
recognized and the boot completed successfully

Thanks

Jorge
