My sound initially worked with a fresh Tribe five install but some
update later it stopped. I get this:

[Bug 109497] Re: Logitech USB headphones which worked in Edgy don't in Feisty

2007-04-26 Thread JosephWoodbridge
This issue is now resolved. I followed this howto here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=418360

Apparently all i had to do was run the command:

asoundconf set-default-card Headset

and it created some configuration files in my home directory, and then
sound started working.

[Bug 109497] Logitech USB headphones which worked in Edgy don't in Feisty

2007-04-23 Thread JosephWoodbridge
Public bug reported:

Hello

My logitech headphones worked in edgy but not in feisty.

When i go to system, preferences, sound... There are a few options to
select such as the onboard sound on my motherboard, and USB audio. when
i select usb audio i can hear the tone. However when i go to test
the system sounds like startup / shutdown they do not work. Furthermore
no sound i have found works (dvd, flash, mp3 etc) except... when i play
isketch under crossweaver with a shockwave plugin .

im not sure what to do or where to file this bug.

BTW i have confirmed this bug with 3 other users of the same headphones
from ubuntuforums.org

[Bug 64424] selector does not allow me to choose the other disk

2006-10-06 Thread JosephWoodbridge
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gparted

When recently trying to install edgy i386 on the live cd at the
partition segment of the installation, it would not let me manually edit
the partition table of my second sata drive. Both were properly
detected... and in the menu it shows sda and sdb but when i select
manually edit (so i can make my /home partition separate) . it
only lets me choose sda through that little button on the top right

[Bug 60313] ndiswrapper in modprobe.d causes system to semi-hang during login

2006-09-13 Thread JosephWoodbridge
Public bug reported:

I use ndiswrapper for my broadcom wifi. It works fine.. except when i
type:

ndiswrapper -m

to write it to /etc/modprobe.d ... because if i do the system will stall

loginpassword screen)

if i modprobe after gnome loads it works instantly and everything is
