I can confirm this issue on 15.04. Viewport fullscreen mode doesn't work. Public bug reported: Resuming from suspend yielded a black screen. Trying to drop to another tty didn't help. I suspect this may have something to do with bcache or efi. This is on a ~5 month old Lenovo T440 with Ubuntu 14.10. I had no problems resuming from suspend with 14.04, but that setup avoided using bcache or efi.
