[Bug 1841370] [NEW] GNOME Weather: "Forecast not available" (19.04 Disco Dingo)
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1695651 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1695651 Public bug reported: I hope I did the right thing reporting the bug here again. Trying to interpret the "Bug reporting etiquette" (articles 2, 18 and 19), I've avoided running `apport-collect` in the last instance. I've reported the same bug (#1695651) already two years ago when I was running Ubuntu 17.04. Please find below the technical details in short. Should you need some further information, I'd be glad to provide: DistroRelease: 19.04 Disco Dingo Package: gnome-weather 3.32.0-1 The application is able to find my city correctly. Choosing my city, I'd expect to see the actual weather and the forecast. Location in use, no VPN. However, all I receive is: "Forecast not available". Weirdly enough, I am able to see the weather information for a much smaller city that is located more than 110 km away, even though the city where I live is a University one. ** Affects: gnome-weather (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1695651 GNOME Weather: "Forecast not available" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1841370 Title: GNOME Weather: "Forecast not available" (19.04 Disco Dingo) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-weather/+bug/1841370/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1713583] [NEW] Startup Disk Creator freezes at "Writing Disk Image... / Finishing..."
Public bug reported: I am running Pop_OS! Alfa (Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 Zesty Zapus) on my System76 Lemur laptop, and I am trying to make bootable USB with "Startup Disk Creator". So far, I have formatted the USB stick into Ext4 format and made sure that there is only one partition. The .iso file is called ubuntu-17.04-desktop-amd64 (1,6 GB; 1 609 039 872 bytes), and the md5sum equals with the one given at http://releases.ubuntu.com/zesty/MD5SUMS (18cc54af55d7ca931bbb8588e8d9c1bd). [Bug 1629880] [NEW] Ubuntu won't launch after the Ubuntu, with Linux 4.4.0-39 generic update
Public bug reported: I am running Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and I've discussed in a thread at 'Ask Ubuntu: System update almost broke the system' about the Kernel Bug — as suggested by a local user boddhi.zazen — that I experienced as I was running my system updates. The problem occurs with "Ubuntu, with Linux 4.4.0-39 generic", although I am still able to access Ubuntu with the older "Ubuntu, with Linux 4.4.0-38 generic" via "+Advanced options for Ubuntu". Here's what happened: 1. I first ran the upgrade procedures through terminal as usual: sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade, sudo apt-get autoremove, and sudo apt-get autoremove 2. However, I was told that "4 not upgraded", so I decided to run Software Updater as well, and there was indeed updates available concerning "Ubuntu base". I installed those successfully, and decided to proceed with restart my system. After the restart, my system doesn't start though. Instead, I receive the following error message: <-- THE BEGINNING, NOT PART OF THE ERROR MESSAGE --> [ 1.452270] genirq: Flags mismatch irq 0. 0080 (nvme0q0) vs. 00015a00 (timer) [ 1.452551] iounmap: bad address c90001b88000 Scanning for Btrfs filesystems Gave up waiting for root device.
