[Bug 1702501] Re: chromium-browser crashes soon after execution - Received signal 11 SEGV_MAPERR 000000000010

Hi !
Same as Sam M (sam-samuel-magnan), I was browsing normally then after a crash
it wouldn't work again... Should we (if not already done) fill a bug report on
the Chromium project ?

[Bug 1585084] Re: Volume notification keeps popping up constantly(the notifyosd bubble on top-right corner)

2017-01-30 Thread Julien Negros
dualshock3nerd's solution worked like a charm for me ! Thanks ! I was
still affected with 16.10, even in LiveCD... Hope this bug gets fixed
soon, it's pretty frustrating.

[Bug 1048241] [NEW] Encountered a section with no Package: header, impossible to update sytem

2012-09-09 Thread Julien Negros
Public bug reported:

I was told in the error I get to report this bug, so here goes :

'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with
MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/fr.archive.ubuntu
.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_main_binary-amd64_Packages, E:Les listes de
paquets ou le fichier « status » ne peuvent être analysés ou lus.'

(last part in English : The package lists or status file could not be
parsed or opened)

As I was using for a week a wifi hotspot, I think this guy made a good point :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/194436/comments/37

Apparently there is an easy fix, haven't try it yet but this bug seems
to occur with normal use of Ubuntu, I fear it may happened to less
terminal-used people...

My apologies, this error prevent me to tell you this package's version ! But I
can tell for sure that the whole system was up to date by the first of
September.

[Bug 379313] Re: Handling NextWindow Touchscreen (multitouch)

2010-10-27 Thread Julien Negros
Yes ! I thought I tried with nw-fermi, but maybe I did something wrong,
it's working perfectly know !

Thanks to you and djp to provide us this driver.

Do you think my grandfather will be able to use multi-touch on his first
computer anytime soon or is it to difficult to implement ? :)

[Bug 379313] Re: Handling NextWindow Touchscreen (multitouch)

2010-10-25 Thread Julien Negros
Hello there

I'm trying to get touch work on dell inspiron one, I followed your
instructions and everything goes fine until

sudo insmod /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/updates/dkms

which gives me the error insmod: can't read
'/lib/modules/2.6.35-22-generic/updates/dkms/': Is a directory

so I guess

sudo depmod -a

Doesn't do anything... And I'm new to this king of manipulations, what
should we do next ? Just a modprob ? And it's supposed to work
instantaneously ?

Thanks !
