It's been over two weeks now and no sign of a fix or even a response. So sorry, I'm going back to Windows again. Everytime I try to get away from it and use Ubuntu I get slapped in the face with bugs and issues. They STILL haven't fixed something as fundamental as this?! It must affect all AMD graphics users with post Radeon 4000 series. How on earth do Canonical expect to succeed in any market when something as basic as installing a bloody graphics driver isn't possible or promptly fixed? And as always from Canonical, NO communication. Sooo, any update to when this will be fixed? It's gone past the point of being inconvenient to frustrating! I'm getting this issue too on 14.04.2. No such issue on 14.04.1. I'm using a Radeon 7850 for reference.
