[Bug 138189] Re: application tries to dlopen /usr/lib/libpython2.5.so (only found in the -dev package)

2008-02-24 Thread Kalrog
Still here in Hardy alpha 5.

I tried installing the -dev package and it got rid of the diagnostic
error message Library files for libpython2.5.so not found in paths,
but the behavior didn't change at all. I still can't change my screen
resolution.

[Bug 154710] Re: Error during upgrade to Kubuntu 7.10 : Failed to fetch

2007-10-23 Thread Kalrog
Thanks for the information! I'll most certainly give that a try this
evening.

One thing to note though, I didn't add those repositories manually. I
used the built in list from when I loaded Kubuntu 7.10 Alpha about 2 or
3 months ago. It is impossible for me to remember everything I have
done in the interim, but I know that I didn't modify the sources.list
file at all. Maybe the bug should more appropriately be one of getting
the wrong repositories into the file - but I have no information to help
on that front. I'll answer questions if you have them though.

[Bug 154710] Error during upgrade to Kubuntu 7.10 : Failed to fetch

2007-10-19 Thread Kalrog
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept

I begin the upgrade via Adept and it appears to work but as it is
downloading files to get started, it fails on the same one each time.
All other internet connectivity is working. This has been happening
since yesterday for me, but I initially thought that it might be a
server overload problem as everything was downloading slow with the new
release. Everything else with the upgrade is moving at a good pace for
me, but it still blows up at this point.

Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/gutsy/Release
Unable to find expected entry commercial/binary-amd64/Packages in Meta-
index file (malformed Release file?)

2007-09-22 Thread Kalrog
I just got this error for the first time as well. Setup is an AMD

more updates available today 2 for restricted modules and one for nvidia
video).

[Bug 138174] Re: kubuntu dolphin crash while closing

2007-09-09 Thread Kalrog
I am getting this error as well. It has never happened before.

One change that I just did today was to format and mount a partition on
a second SATA HD. I don't know if that is part of the cause or not.
This error message does not appear to affect functionality in any way,
but it is annoying.

[Bug 103933] Re: Java install via Add/Remove crashed

2007-08-23 Thread Kalrog
Some strategic un/re installing and rebooting seems to have fixed it. I
was working on a Xine problem at the same time so I don't know what
order of steps it was that truly fixed this but it could just be an
order of installation thing.

off trying one (or more) of the hacks above?

[Bug 131989] The module Disk Filesystem could not be loaded

2007-08-12 Thread Kalrog
Public bug reported:

I just loaded Gutsy tribe 4 and have run into a problem that appears to
be a repeat of bug # 109273, but on the new release. This is a fresh
install (no upgrade) and it does have 2 SATA drives. I left a portion
(the majority) of the larger HD unpartitioned during installation and
wanted to take care of that now.

[Bug 43324] Re: There is no 64 bit package available.

2007-08-12 Thread Kalrog
I agree that I want to be able to run 32bit windows binaries, but I
can't do that right now because there is NO wine package available to me
in Gutsy (at least as far as I can tell). Specifically, I am running an
AMD x2 so I picked the 64bit KUbuntu to go with that. If I have just
missed the available wine package, then that is great and I will be done
- but I have looked and didn't find one.
