Public bug reported:
I attempted to change the time display in the top menu bar of the unity
interface (ubuntu 13.04) by going to system settings, time date,
clock, and selecting the check boxes next to weekday and date and
month. This results in the menu bar displaying Date format not
supported instead of the date and time. Asking the system to display
anything other than the time in 12-hour or 24-hour format results in
this message being displayed instead
