[Bug 1022906] [NEW] help page for iscsi initiator should add section about use of LABEL

2012-07-10 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Public bug reported:

The help page for open-iscsi initiator should follow Debian's example
and include a note that it is better to use labels to mount iscsi
volumes than sdX since these device names may map to different devices
between reboots.

[Bug 319825] Re: acer_wmi in Jaunty on Aspire One exposes non-functional (always disabled) rfkill device

@laurent: try power off, remove battery and power cord and wait a bit
(30 sec for instance). That has helped me earlier with similar, but not
the same, error messages.

[Bug 319825] Re: acer_wmi in Jaunty on Aspire One exposes non-functional (always disabled) rfkill device

2009-03-18 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Has there been any progress on this one?

Personally I've just blacklisted acer_wmi, but for some of my friends
who will upgrade to 9.04 when it is released will probably say I have
to do what? if I tell them to blacklist the acer_wmi module.

Will a blacklisting of acer_wmi negatively affect those who are not
using an Aspire One?

The 0x7011 and 0x7211 should therefore split into separate entries.

[Bug 229212] [NEW] Hardy: Saves GPX files with localized decimal separator

2008-05-11 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: qlandkarte

When I save my extracted tracks as GPX files with QLandkarte it now
saves trackpoints as

trkpt lon=9,430201146751642 lat=56,28822122700512

but it should save them as

trkpt lon=9.430201146751642 lat=56.28822122700512

[Bug 219192] [NEW] [hardy] livecd: keyword persistent results in busybox and (initramfs)

2008-04-18 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Public bug reported:

When trying to boot a livecd with the persistent keyword the boot
process fails and all I get is busybox. Booting without persistent
works fine.

Has persistent mode been dropped as a feature on the livecd or is this a
bug?

Tried on daily-live 17042008-image.

[Bug 196735] [NEW] Show thousands separator adds wrong separator

2008-02-28 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gcalctool

2) Selected Show thousands separator and got 31,,536.000., while I expected
31.536.000

And while Show thousands separator was selected i inputted the

[Bug 63912] Re: Module fglrx isn't loaded

2006-10-06 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
OK. I have the warning message, just didn't notice it before since I was
rebooting from a remote location earlier. My bad.

When I put install fglrx in at the beginning of the line the message
disappears but whatever the statement behind if is it jumps to else,
but when I drop install fglrx it handles the if correctly.

Test case:
Edit /etc/modprobe.d/fglrx to read

install fglrx if /bin/grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf; then echo OK
/log; else echo Not OK /log; fi

reboot and check /log

What do you get?

Then do sudo modprobe fglrx. Check /log again. What does it say now?

[Bug 63912] Re: Module fglrx isn't loaded

2006-10-05 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Ok, I think I've found a solution that works. At least it works on my
computer.

I removed install fglrx from install fglrx if cat ... and a ^ inside
the regexp of /etc/modprobe.d/fglrx. I also had to add | grep -v # |
for those cases where fglrx is commented out in xorg.conf but should
not be loaded.

Please review this fix.

2006-09-13 Thread Kenneth Mokkelbost
Fantastic!

Following the information above I did a search for amd76x_edac and found
Debian bug #363682.

Blacklisting amd76x_edac solves my problem (two problems actually, since
the messages in my syslog which I reported as bug #55204 stems from EDAC
too).

EDAC was introdused in 2.6.16, but for me it seems that it isn't quite
there yet. Maybe EDAC should be blacklisted on this release?
