[Bug 546091] Re: 10.04 Installer doesn't properly detect 9240 MegaRaid SAS Controlers
Trying to install 13.10 Server with an LSI 9240-8i and I cannot detect any drives? [Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space
This bug is the single most frustrating aspect of managing or helping others manage Ubuntu Server installations. I've come across probably 20 or 30 default installations of Ubuntu Server that have this problem because the new packages seem to get automatically downloaded but the old ones don't get automatically cleaned out. Can one setup a cron job to do apt-get autoremove every day or is this bad practice? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798414 Title: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/798414/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 984688] Re: initramfs-tools depends on initramfs-tools-bin ( 0.99ubuntu11.1~)
The problem for me was that my boot partition was full so that needed to be resolved before this issue could be resolved. This was done using dpkg -l 'linux-image-*' | grep '^ii' to list all of the kernels and then sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3... to purge the oldest three or four kernels. Then when I ran Chris's suggestions it worked. I could then run apt-get upgrade successfully to do the rest of the updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984688 Title: initramfs-tools depends on initramfs-tools-bin ( 0.99ubuntu11.1~) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/984688/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 301767] [NEW] Package always appears greyed out and partially cut off
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager I have a weird problem with Update Manager where a package (metatalk) always appears to be grayed out with half of the description cut off. Other updates all work fun but this particular update has been sitting in the update manager list filed under Other Updates but grayed out for a couple weeks now. The main reason I'm filing this as a bug is that the description of the update is cut off half way through and only the upper half of it appears visible. I'm using 8.10 and the update-manager version is 1:0.93.94. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: glitch graphical grayed greyed metatalk other out updates -- Package always appears greyed out and partially cut off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301767 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
