I hope you can fix it. This is super annoying for me and also a security issue because I don't always notice that the dock got unresponsive and also the locking does not work properly. I have a similar problem, the gnome shell crashes, part of the UI gets unresponsive, especially the dock is not disappearing, and overlaps over the applications.
