[Bug 372705] [NEW] nautilus doesn't update view after file/directory creation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I see following behaviour on an up to date Jaunty. When creating a file/directory with gedit, in the shell (touch file), or by extracting a zipped file in that directory (right click on the zipped file - choose extract here) nautilus doesn't update its view. I have to manually click on reload or open the directory in nautilus to see the actual directory contents. Also when I delete/move/copy files in the shell (in the directory that is open in nautilus), nautilus doesn't update its view of the directory. [Bug 191889] Re: Firefox's new Offline Mode feature cannot properly detect when there is a valid network available for use in many circumstances
I'm affected by this bug too. It is really annoying and may be a real pain in the ass for the average user. In Europe (especially here in Austria) internet connection with GPRS/UMTS becomes quite ubiquitous. As long as NetworkManager doesn't manage ppp connections reliably it isn't wise to let it control online status of whole system. I read NetworkManager 0.7 should bring some enhancements in that area. Why is 0.6.x in Hardy? Fedora 9 will ship 0.7?! For the moment (until NM 0.7) it may be better for applications (Firefox, Pidgin, etc.) to not rely on the dbus online-offline status controlled by NM. [Bug 44912] Re: Default desktop is too cpu hungry when idle.
I also see that bug on a Thinkpad T40. (P4M 1.5Ghz, Ati radeon 7500). Re: [Bug 44912] Re: Default desktop is too cpu hungry when idle.
its definitely not tracker - it could coincide with firefox though. top shows xorg and firefox are using considerable cpu time while being idle. [Bug 115283] Re: random system freeze when desktop-effects activated with X300 (X600 and X700 too?)
i second the request to provide an override for the blacklist at least! i haven't had any problems with my X700 for the last 2 weeks. so it would be nice to continue using compiz -- random system freeze when desktop-effects activated with X300 (X600 and X700 too?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/115283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have an X700 and haven't had any freezes since the gutsy updates from last week. [Bug 115283] Re: random system freeze when desktop-effects activated
the bug is still present when compiz is enabled (if desktop effects are turned off, i haven't yet experienced such a freeze) my graphic card is a ati x700 mobile i have the latest ubuntu gutsy and xorg drivers installed -- random system freeze when desktop-effects activated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/115283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 115283] Re: random system freeze when desktop-effects activated
I can confirm this bug too. with a radeon x700 mobile.. the screen freezes after some random mouse action and only the mouse pointer is available from then on. but no actions (mouse buttons or keyboard) get through. the only solution is to power down the machine. -- random system freeze when desktop-effects activated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/115283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
