[Bug 180293] flashplugin-nonfree installation fails with checksum failure on binary package

2008-01-04 Thread Kristaps Rāts
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

Just upgraded to gutsy and flash doesn't work in firefox anymore,
although dpkg -l shows that flashplugin-nonfree
9.0.48.0.2+really0ubuntu12 is installed. If I try to reinstall the
package it fails with the following error message:

md5sum mismatch install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
The Flash plugin is NOT installed.

An updated binary archive from adobe?

** Affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)

[Bug 94681] Memory leak in smbd

2007-03-22 Thread Kristaps Rāts
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

I've been hit by this: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3962
(smbd memory consumption when winXP spooler goes into a loop). The
patches attached to the bugreport solved the problem, maybe they should
be applied to dapper's samba 3.0.22?

[Bug 56005] Re: module snd_seq isn't loaded at startup causing various problems for midi applications

2006-08-11 Thread Kristaps Rāts
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: alsa-base

- The module creates the /dev/snd/seq node, if it doesn't exist most ALSA
- sequencer clients crash on startup. A workaround (solution?) is to
- include snd-seq in /etc/modules. The problem does not occur on a
- computer equipped with a SoundBlaster Live!, as the emu10k1 module
- dependencies include snd-seq.
+ The module snd-seq creates the /dev/snd/seq node, if it doesn't exist
+ most ALSA sequencer clients crash on startup. A workaround (solution?)
+ is to include snd-seq in /etc/modules. I can confirm the problem on two
+ computers - one with a sis integrated sound chip, the other with an
+ intel integrated sound chip. The problem does not occur on a computer
+ equipped with a SoundBlaster Live!, as the emu10k1 module dependencies
+ include snd-seq, while the other two don't.

[Bug 50917] Re: GTK2 menu shortcuts displayed wrongly after upgrades

2006-07-06 Thread Kristaps Rāts
This might be a duplicate of #50176, turns out I had en_AU.UTF-8 as
locale on my machine for some reason, setting it to the intended
lv_LV.UTF-8 solves the problem.
