[Bug 1858231] Re: QCA6174 Wifi adapter not functional

2020-06-08 Thread Lambert Yu
I encountered the same error on Ubuntu 20.04 which uses v5.4.0-33
kernel, is there any plan to provide a fix to older kernels such as
v5.4? It seems that it would take long for Ubuntu 20.04 to upgrade to
the latest kernel.

[Bug 573340] Re: Login screen reloads itself repeatedly

2011-06-21 Thread Lambert Yu
During fresh installation of Lucid and Natty, I didn't see this issue. I
am unable to check if it still exists in a upgraded case.

[Bug 573340] [NEW] Login screen reloads itself repeatedly

2010-05-01 Thread Lambert Yu
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

It's an upgraded 10.04 from 9.10.

Everything was fine until I ran gnome-session in terminal (I originally
wanted to run gnome-session-save) and I got an error and then dozens of
windows were generated in the task bar that I had to logout. I was able
to input name and password and it seemed the system accepted them, but
after two or three seconds I was brought to the login screen again.

The issue is reproducible to all desktop types, KDE, gnome, and xterm.

I can't remember if I ran 'gnome-session' in root privilege.

There's no problem about the disk usage, all below 40%.

I worked out a workaround to login to gnome desktop though, switch to
console and then run following commands:

sudo service gdm stop
startx

Thanks.

** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
