If I can suggest, keep it simple. if the service is disable : enable start if stopped upgrade stop if was stopped disable User will find package upgraded but in the same state as he left it. If it's enabled, just check before if the service is loaded and upgrade. I think it's important to give users an updated package, ready to use, as he left it. Public bug reported: I'm using current Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.2 but the same issue is present in Ubuntu 16.04.2. The problem occurs with or without nvidia drivers. I'm running a fresh installation. On resume, for a second, i can see my screen as it was before suspend. This means that if someone open my laptop can see my desktop and my things. Ok is only a second, but is a very hight security issue for me. @Valter : Very strange, after your comment i setup a fresh ubuntu 11.10 install in another machine, updated and patch installed. My @gmail.com account wont work(i know is a good and valid account because in windows it works).
