[Bug 394303] [NEW] something crashes on startup
Public bug reported: When I reboot, a window pops up to tell me the kernel crashed (or something like that) and it wants to send in a report. Then, another window pops up that tells me to report a bug. This is how I got here. ProblemType: KernelOops Annotation: Your system might become unstable now and might need to be restarted. [Bug 246001] [NEW] abiword is not in package abiword-common
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: abiword-common This is with Ubuntu 8.04, fully updated. I did not have abiword installed and entered “abiword” in a terminal. The following message appeared: The program 'abiword' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install abiword-common bash: abiword: command not found This is wrong, though: abiword-common doesn't contain the abiword executable. Instead, you need to install package abiword or abiword- gnome. So I guess the database that maps executables to package names needs to be modified. ** Affects: abiword (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- abiword is not in package abiword-common https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246001 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 199064] [NEW] displayconfig-gtk crashes on startup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk This is with displayconfig-gtk 0.3.7 on Ubuntu 7.10, on an IBM Thinkpad notebook. I added a second monitor in displayconfig-gtk, a Samsung SyncMaster 223 BW attached to the analog (VGA) port. Now, every time I run displayconfig-gtk, it crashes and prints a stack trace to standard error (see attached file). It also prints the following to standard output: [] ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- displayconfig-gtk crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199064 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 71777] Re: muine crashes when importing directory
I don't have Gutsy installed yet, but I tried with Feisty and couldn't reproduce the bug. [Bug 76116] Nautilus ignores Web Browser setting in Preferred Appliations
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I have Epiphany, Firefox and Konqueror installed and have, in the “Preferred Applications” dialog, selected Epiphany as my default web browser. However, if I double-click on an html file or a link (.desktop file with Type=Link) in nautilus, it's opened in Firefox. [Bug 71777] muine crashes when importing directory

[Bug 67221] Re: installer crashed
I tried the install again after filing this bug and then it worked. Maybe the first crash was caused by the CD drive - it seemed like it had a little trouble reading the CD-RW that the installer was on. Nonetheless, the installer should not have crashed. I don't have the logfiles from the failed install anymore. Would it help you if I attached /var/log/installer/syslog from the successful install instead? -- installer crashed https://launchpad.net/bugs/67221 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: I tried to install the Ubuntu 6.10 release candidate from CD and it popped up a window saying “Installer crashed” and telling me to file a bug here.
