[Bug 569205] Re: does not auto-detect DAAP share

2011-05-06 Thread Lorenzo Zolfanelli
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 450916 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450916

I think this is not a duplicate of #450916

on Ubuntu Natty, Banshee does not detect avahi published daap servers,
the only way I have to get the share working is to manually insert the
ip address of my nas every time I run banshee from Add remote DAAP
server

[Bug 776574] [NEW] error handling blank field - unable to edit contacts

2011-05-03 Thread Lorenzo Zolfanelli
Public bug reported:

I use the CouchDB for the UbuntOne service offered by Canonical on
Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty)

I am unable to edit any of my contacts, I get this message from
Evolution as I try to save:

GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._e_2ddata_2dbook_2derror.Code400:
Cannot modify contact: Bad Request

My output on console for e-addressbook-factory is:

(e-addressbook-factory:16374): Couchdb-GLib-CRITICAL **:
couchdb_document_contact_set_company: assertion `company != NULL' failed

(e-addressbook-factory:16374): Couchdb-GLib-CRITICAL **:
couchdb_document_contact_set_department: assertion `department != NULL'
failed

(e-addressbook-factory:16374): Couchdb-GLib-CRITICAL **:
couchdb_document_contact_set_office: assertion `office != NULL' failed

(e-addressbook-factory:16374): Couchdb-GLib-CRITICAL **:
couchdb_document_contact_set_categories: assertion `categories != NULL'
failed

(e-addressbook-factory:16374): Json-CRITICAL **:
json_node_get_node_type: assertion `node != NULL' failed

** (e-addressbook-factory:16374): WARNING **: Could not PUT document: \u0005

I am not always able to reproduce this bug..sometimes everything just works.
I found that when I can't save a contact a workaround is to put some random
stuff in one or more of that field (categories, office, company..)

versions:
Ubuntu 11.04 Natty stable (64bit edition)
evolution 2.32.2-0ubuntu7
evolution-couchdb 0.5.3-0ubuntu2
couchdb-bin 1.0.1-0ubuntu15
libcouchdb-glib-1.0-2 0.7.2-0ubuntu3

[Bug 776574] Re: error handling blank field - unable to edit contacts

2011-05-03 Thread Lorenzo Zolfanelli
I think that in
e-book-backend-couchdb.c
lines 760-770 have to be edited with some if( x != NULL) conditions, but I am
not sure, I don't know much about this backend and couchdb
(http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/evolution-couchdb/trunk/view/head:/addressbook/e-book-backend-couchdb.c)

It's happen because it isn't a stable kernel release, and because linux is
developed by humans, and they might make mistakes. And I think the linux
testing team was to small to reveal this bug.

Re: [Bug 268529] Re: Pipeline workaround on Eee Box incorrectly configures screens with DVIVGA converter

2008-09-27 Thread Lorenzo Zolfanelli
I'm sorry for the offtopic, but lzl, have you found any issue with alpha6? I
suppose that Asus EEE Box have a GigaBit Intel Ethernet Adapter, so Ubuntu
Intrepid alpha 6 should have destroyed your ethernet adapter...
