@declara91 I still hate having 3 build mechanisms, but I'm patching cmake and btool too right now, for the sake of completeness @suv-lp looking at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/commit/?id=c0affb1845c339f89ca67608cb9fd9134ff902f5 and speaking with poppler devs, those two should have been redundant with different visibility. As we're using older poppler libs on various architecture (prominently 0.12 in windows devlibs), I'd suggest going for conditional building instead. For example the following line of code to detect LUKS encryption: if ( Glib::ustring( magic1 ) == LUKS\xBA\xBE ) Yes. If I'm reading comment #12 correctly, Seth is saying that ustring constructor is often unhappy when fed with raw-from-disk data (invalid utf-8?). In particular, he wrote: Also, this calls to review a lot more ustring operations on raw input buffers, because things could blow up in more places where it is being used on unknown data (raw input buffers). Seth, care to comment? My opinion is that it may be safer to do a plain memcmp, but I suspect the issue Seth was experiencing was just due to buf_btrfs being not NUL-terminated. -- gparted crash at start: glibmm-ERROR ** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/617885 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 617885] Re: gparted crash at start: glibmm-ERROR **
Thanks Seth for drawing my attention on this. Firstly, I was not aware of this ubuntu patching, and I would suggest to refresh the patch with the lucab/btrfs branch, which is currently much healthier :) Regarding the buf/buf_btrfs issue, it's certainly my fault and it slopped through when Cedric adopted parts of the original patch. Regarding memcmp, it may sound safer to do so, but when writing btrfs discovery I just adopted previous checking style; I will ask Cedric about it. I'm now opening an upstream bug regarding both issues, in the meantime I believe you can safely integrate your patch. -- gparted crash at start: glibmm-ERROR ** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/617885 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

For GParted 0.7.0, we (upstream) plan to include BTRFS support, so the patches from Seth are very timely. :-) Curtis, as the discovery part is already in master, will you take care of s/buf/buf_btrfs/ in master or should I commit on btrfs branch? [Bug 325709] Re: window doesn't maximize
The bug should be fixed with the upcoming release of inkscape. The problem is that the minimum height of the window is high, and it's impossible for it to get maximized. This is due to the large number of drawing tools. Actually a workaround is to detach one toolbar to make space on the left, maximize the window, then reattach the toolbar. ** Also affects: inkscape Importance: Undecided Status: New -- window doesn't maximize https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325709 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 317646] Re: FreeSpeak 0.1.1 freezes in 8.10, possibly python2.5 issue
I said it's been packaged in Debian, so you won't find it on Ubuntu. 1. Remove the old installed freespeak 2. Do a ./configure make make install 3. killall -HUP gconfd-2 4. Wait some seconds 5. Run freespeak as non-root Anyway, this is not the right place to discuss about. Mail me for further information.
