[Bug 1400079] Re: Bluetooth not working on Asus X751LA
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: This bug is associated with launchpad's question #257206. Since the question did not receive any useful answer, I thought to scale up the issue. Dear Christopher M. Penalver (penalvch), I followed your instructions, can you please confirm that the correct information was submitted? Dear Janne Heikkinen (janne-m-heikkinen), are you suggesting me to just sit and wait till the kernel 3.14 is distributed? (I am currently running the 3.13.0)? Many thanks to you both for your help, and I take the opportunity to wish you happy new year. [Bug 1390857] Re: [Asus X751LA] Touchpad not recognised in Ubuntu 14.04
Cristopher, I followed the instructions at the link you sent me. I submitted the report to the maintainer in charge for input drivers, but I would not know where to find the link to my email. Suggestions? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1390857 Title: [Asus X751LA] Touchpad not recognised in Ubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1390857/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1390857] [NEW] [Asus X751LA] Touchpad not recognised in Ubuntu14.04
Public bug reported: I guess this is the same bug found with this new generation of touchpads in other Asus models. See: Bug #1314198 I filed a separate report as nobody so far reported this specific notebook model. The touchpad is currently working as a PS/2 mouse, however this prevents from using synaptics/syndaemon to suspend touching while typing (and, of course, double finger scrolling does not work). The only solution is to toggle the PS/2 mouse off and use an external mouse.
