[Bug 301218] Re: User Switcher has quit unexpectedly
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 290509 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290509 I am getting a error upon first boot of newly install 8.1.0 server. the panel encountered a problem while loading OAF11D:gnome_fast user swither applet. I am not using KDM so I do not see it as a duplicate of 290509. I only get this error loading on a multiple drive format. I can load to one drive and launch Ubuntu with no error. When I load to mirror or raid 5 I see this error. This error has appeared on a fresh NOS load on two distinctly different machines. I have tried all fixes I can find on the internet and I am still at a loss. Any assitance would be appreiciated. -- User Switcher has quit unexpectedly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301218 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 82442] Re: Using fast-user-switch-applet with a background image inside the gnome panel
I do not know why this bug has been closed since it is still there. Here is the error I have been seeing: the panel encountered a problem while loading oaf11d:gnome_ fast user switching applet This is a fresh load and as you already know the backround is not the default as it should be. I have to say I have loaded Ubuntu server on 4 machines and 50 percent of the time is was without error and 50 percent of the time it was. Go figure! Is this ever going to be fixed because it obviously has been over looked and it is quite trouble some. is there an easy bandaid? Upon a reinstall of gnome applets and ubuntu desktop there are lots of failures to fetch from us.ubuntu and I can only wonder if this plays a part in the error. -- Using fast-user-switch-applet with a background image inside the gnome panel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/82442 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 347466] [NEW] no default backround
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet the panel encountered a problem while loading oaf11d:gnome_ fast user switching applet A fresh load of Ubuntu 8.10 server scripts this error to the desktop. The desktop is a solid backround and not the usual default. I have a machine that loaded and booted with no errors to the proper desktop and this one I am reporting did not. I have tried various commands to remove and install the gnome-applets and destop but I have to say that while doing the applet update I do see a lot of fault to fetch errors from us.ubuntu. Don’t know if this is the reason for the original error. ** Affects: fast-user-switch-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome -- no default backround https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347466 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
