It has been fixed by the avahi guy, there is a 0.6.32-rc version. Please update before wily release, this is really annoying, imagine having this released, any windows 10 machine will fill our logs... I had this problem, and after reading all this comments, i decided to give it a try to the reconfiguration of fstab I went from 4 MB to a steady 30MB (this is the REAL max throughput of a USB device in USB 2.0) It worked perfectly. Also, setting my SATA Ports to use 32 bit and it made it a little better. Just a comment, i already installed the telepathy-sofiasip. Have fixed it. Actually, closing empathy was not enough.
