Public bug reported: This package is working fine with kernel 2.6.32-28-generic on ubuntu 10.04. After compiling a new kernel 2.6.38-rc2., problem with nvidia kernel module began. nvidia-current 195.36.24 fails now with new kernel (2.6.38-rc2). On 2.6.32-28, everything seems to work, but I saw the app active for bug reporting which prompts this report.
