2016-12-09 Thread lyn james
Several upgrades have since failed but no reports generated.
I worry that my system is becoming unstable now?
Did update && upgrade from command line which produced the output in attached
file:

[Bug 1180896] [NEW] watchdog hang on shutdown

[Bug 384821] [NEW] samba segmentation faults

2009-06-08 Thread Lyn James
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

Samba had been running OK, but since this happened today, (possibly after
trying to configure a printer with CUPS?) i can no longer login without hacking:
/etc/pam.d/common-auth and commenting out:

I got this from googling the problem, so it obviously affects other systems

[Bug 370792] Re: xorg at 100% requiring power cycle to recover after jaunty upgrade

2009-05-03 Thread lyn james
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

Since upgrading to 9.04, screen freezes several times a day and no response
to mouse or keyboard. Can't identify any particular activity causing it, but
it's usually when using Firefox (not always though).
If I'm logged in from another machine, I can see Xorg is at 100%, but I can't
reboot, so a power cycle is necessary to recover.
vino-server was also at 100%, but I disabled it. The problem still occurs
without vino.

The output from ubuntu-bug -p xorg should be attached, although I can't
  see it while writing this?

+ UPDATE.
+ It also happens with firefox at 100%. Again when logged in from another

+ I guess it's not xorg then???
