When using ATI with fglrx driver, go to ATI Catalyst Control Center and disable Catalyst A.I. in 3D->More Settings. Make sure you have mipmaps disabled in Expo plugin. [Bug 763370] Re: xorg memory leak
I think it's related to chromium-browser. I closed the browser, restarted it and everything's back to normal. System responds nicely, Xorg consumes less memory. [Bug 763352] [NEW] window's content is not redrawn/repaint sometimes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz I suspect that some of the latest xorg updates caused this problem. Sometimes when I switch window and i click on e.g. some tab in chromium- browser, contact in pidgin, whatever - program reacts as expected, but window is not redrawn. I have to resize the window to see the changes. >From that moment everything works correctly - window's content is repaint/redrawn as expected. Everything works fine using metacity instead of compiz. [Bug 364046] Re: clicking on the notification area icon doesn't move to the workspace with the application
Well, for me, it is a bug. Or do you think it is normal for user to click on an icon in notification area to bring associated application to the front and nothing happens? Or are we going Microsoft way? It is not a bug, it is a feature? :)) If this normally happens that application won't allow to steal her cursor than I assume that notification area icons need higher priority, so they could steal the focus. I'm sorry, I don't know mechanics behind this. On the other hand, I admit I don't know of any other application which works like this. Other applications that have icon in notification area usually have menu with option to show/hide main window. -- clicking on the notification area icon doesn't move to the workspace with the application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364046 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for the patch xtknight.. but i can't hear any difference. Maybe it's cause of pulseaudio, I'm not sure. Could you try to make it more curved? So the difference would be more obvious. [Bug 364046] [NEW] clicking on the notification area icon doesn't move to the workspace with the application
Public bug reported: I'm not sure if it only applies to Banshee media player. If you click on the banshee icon in the notification area and you already have Banshee opened on some other workspace, the current workspace will change to that with the Banshee on it.. UNLESS you have other application in focus. This means the current workspace won't change, until you click on the desktop (make current window unfocused). Hope this make sense. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Banshee media player on workspace 1 2. Switch to second workspace (or any other workspace) 3. Open some application (i.e. gedit) 4. Click on the banshee icon in the notification area - nothing happens 5. Click on the desktop and then on the banshee icon - the workspace will switch to workspace 1 This happens with compiz enabled. First, sorry for messing with status.
