[Bug 812866] Re: Wlan hardware blocked after suspend lenovo X121e
Since there is not option like "won't fix", this bug is now marked as fix released. Looks like this is fixed by a bios update from Lenovo. [Bug 812866] Re: Wlan hardware blocked after suspend lenovo X121e
The problem resurrected after I was playing around with WWAN card, I guess it was due to enabling and disabling the card in the bios. I was again able to fix it by restoring my pre-installed Windows image, and then restoring my Ubuntu image. @owang: I have like yourself tried all solutions I could find on the web, and nothing works. I have absolutely no idea how the Windows restore fixes the problem. [Bug 812866] Re: Wlan hardware blocked after suspend lenovo X121e
Problem solved... in a very mysterious way... After my suspend test with the pre-installed Lenovo Windows (restored with CloneZilla), I went back to my Ubuntu image and very surprising suspend was now working perfectly. The only explanation I can come up with is that the initial setup steps in the pre-installed Windows uploaded some firmware to my wifi card. Now it looks like all the hardware works out-of-box, what a joy :) (Lenovo Thinkpad X121e) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Mads Brouer (mads-x) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/812866 Title: Wlan hardware blocked after suspend lenovo X121e To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/812866/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Suspend to ram works perfectly under Windows, so that properly rules out a Bios bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/812866 Title: Wlan hardware blocked after suspend lenovo X121e To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/812866/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
