You know another thing, is that usually in ICQ if you right click get
info it replaces the UIN to the UIN's published name from the server, it
does not do that either.

I can confirm it happens only on one UIN, since I have only one ICQ buddy.
And two in my Google talk contacts all have given permission to debug
divulge emails. See attached .png's
Then I would...
then...well you cants screenshot selecting alias and changing the name
to a more friendly one.
When you select Alias it actually remembers what you were going to use
or rather were using prior to an upgrade, which upgrade I cannot be sure
I never really noticed until my daughter noticed it. It all worked
proper at one time anyways.
During the unscreenshottable Aliasing dialogue it looks as if it might
be offering you a chance, but no dice. upon hitting enter it returns to
the protocol screem with no aliasing in those entries.

[Bug 154986] The install button, download only and preview buttons do nothing when clicked. The is only tested in the splashscreen area of gnome-art.

2007-10-20 Thread Marc Zuverink
Public bug reported:

The buttons on all of the categories do nothing.
So if you downloaded all the splash screen thumbs, and chose to install one and
clicked "install" it would not respond by installing the splash screen. This

Its that whole bonobo-activation-server thing. Logging out, then
killing it from a terminal before logging back in solves the hang.

[Bug 151040] Desktop starts to load but fails to load completely upon login/logout

2007-10-09 Thread Marc Zuverink
Public bug reported:

Gusty, all updates installed as of 14:51 EST, i386

If a user logs out from a session then either the same user or another user
attempts to login, the desktop(gnome) fails to completely load.
The desktop background color, panels and such load, but the wallpaper does not
and you get no results from right clicking on the desktop and clicking on any
icon placed on the panels do not respond either.

The menu(Applications, Places, etc... work, or they pull down and you
can start an app that way), but thats about it.
