[Bug 771263] Re: unity shortcuts do not use appropriate keyboard layout
Is there any way to elevate this issue? It has several duplicates and affects many people. Multiple keyboard layouts + precise pangoline - emacs unusable. It seems like anyone wanting to use the alt key in a dvorak household would get quickly frustrated by this issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771263 Title: unity shortcuts do not use appropriate keyboard layout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/771263/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 992789] Re: Unity shortcuts ignore current keyboard layout
This is happening to me as well. I use dvorak and have US keyboard enabled as a second layout. All alt key combinations are in the US layout, regardless of which layout is selected. I installed pangolin by upgrading ocelot. This bug makes emacs unusable for dvorak typists. I have seen similar issues with gnome-terminal on previous releases, but it was limited to that application, which could be avoided. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992789 Title: Unity shortcuts ignore current keyboard layout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/992789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
