[Bug 876196] [NEW] Unity running very slow and with no icons in Ubuntu 11.10 after upgrade

2011-10-16 Thread Martin Gontovnikas
Public bug reported:

I've tried resetting unity, then I tried puring it and installing it
again and it still doesn't work.

This is the log from the console:

unity-panel-service: no process found
WARN 2011-10-17 01:28:56 glib unknown:0 Unable to fetch children: Method
Children with signature on interface org.ayatana.bamf.view doesn't exist

One of the problems I'm having is that the Unity panel is being redrawn every
few seconds, I think that has to do with the last lines.

Besides that, I get no icons for anything and I'm getting a very old
Nautilus view, not decorated.

** Affects: unity (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 728101] Re: [gm45] Closing laptop lid causes screen to freeze

2011-05-22 Thread Martin Gontovnikas
Same problem on Asus K52JC. Everything black, mouse is movable.

For the time being, I go to another tty and do a sudo service gdm
restart. However, it's get restarted so everything that was unsaved or
unseen won't be able to be recovered.

[Bug 504405] Re: Ctrl-Tab should jump to the next tab

2011-05-18 Thread Martin Gontovnikas
So this won't get fixed? I think that a lot of people won't switch to
empathy (that's my case) if the Ctrl + Tab shortcut is not added. Even
though it's not GNome policy, there are many applications that use it
anyway.

[Bug 766364] Re: tray icons not clickable

2011-05-03 Thread Martin Gontovnikas
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 761409 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/761409

I'm having this same issue when adding to the auto-start icons that have old
tray icons.
However, if i do unity --reset, it gets fixed.

Also, i setted the property to whitelist every tray icon for the panel
as i need them.

Regards
