[Bug 1436201] [NEW] Please update to original master

2015-03-25 Thread Martin Paljak
Public bug reported:

The versions and sources of the package have long been changed.

The correct home for libdigidocpp is https://github.com/open-
eid/libdigidocpp (ditto for dependency, libdigidoc https://github.com
/open-eid/libdigidoc). The old fork on googlecode is not maintained, nor
is it usable with newer software and contains many bugs fixed in
upstream

** Affects: libdigidocpp (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

[Bug 1093628] Re: opensc-dev package in missing

2013-01-12 Thread Martin Paljak
Exactly what applications?

External applications should use the PKCS#11 interface. OpenSC does not
provide a -dev package by design.

[Bug 755941] Re: opensc version 0.11.13-1ubuntu5 failed to build on i386

2011-04-10 Thread Martin Paljak
I would suggest Ubuntu updates to OpenSC 0.12.X, sample debian folder is
available from http://martinpaljak.net/download/opensc/deb/ At the same
time work is underway to get Debian to update the package as well. A new
release of OpenSC 0.12.1 is imminent in the nearest days.

2011-01-07 Thread Martin Paljak
For example. Java 1.6 also fails, as it is searching for
libpcsclite.so.1 from /usr/lib for javax.smartcardio.

[Bug 672475] Re: Built-in smartcard reader does not work

2010-11-09 Thread Martin Paljak
The bug is about a missing hardware driver, not opensc (or pcsc-lite,
which would be a closer match but still incorrect)

[Bug 603499] Re: OpenSC unusable under Ubuntu in most cases

2010-07-09 Thread Martin Paljak
This is in essence the same problem as is described in OpenSC ticket
#216: https://www.opensc-project.org/opensc/ticket/216 and the solution
is not as simple as you think.

Also, opensc package in Debian/Ubuntu does NOT depend on openct
package.

[Bug 282196] Re: pkcs15-tool fails with Cryptoflex e-gate 32 k in Broadcom 5800 cardreader

2010-02-19 Thread Martin Paljak
Apparently this is a bug in the pcsc-lite reader driver of the Broadcom
5800 reader, not OpenSC. If the reader (driver) does not want to talk to
the card, there's not much OpenSC can do to fix this.

[Bug 83767] Re: Regression in upstream renders a nation unusable.

2007-02-08 Thread Martin Paljak
Thanks!

Nice response time :) Is there any chance that some other relevant but
hard-to-get-to-upstream patches (as they are workarounds for specific
problems 'normal' opensc users don't ecounter) might be included in
future ?

[Bug 83767] Regression in upstream renders a nation unusable.

2007-02-07 Thread Martin Paljak
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: opensc

opensc 0.11.1 contains a crucial regression that can be fixed by this
simple patch:

http://www.opensc-project.org/opensc/changeset/3010

Without it one of the biggest eID rollouts is not usable with Ubuntu.

Martin, opensc dev/Estonian eID maintainer.
