[Bug 1890815] Re: vainfo requires a nvidia sofile not in repositories
Yeah the package missing is vdpau-va-driver, which is in previous releases of Ubuntu, but for some reason was dropped for Canonical. This breaks numerous things on 20.04 when using the Nvidia proprietary drivers. What's crazy is that this actually isn't Nvidia's fault, Ubuntu dropped the package. Can you guys please add the package to the repositories for Focal like you have for previous versions? Link to the files for the package in the bionic repos: https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/amd64/vdpau-va-driver/filelist That package does not exist on Focal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890815 Title: vainfo requires a nvidia sofile not in repositories To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libva-utils/+bug/1890815/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 406865] Re: [GM45] 3D applications fail to run in WINE
I have found a workaround (for my machine at least). It seems that enabling desktop emulation in the graphics tab of winecfg at least allow programs using 3d acceleration to run and display. Re: [Bug 403276] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1545] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl]
Paul, I've switched my machines over to OpenSuse since I needed access to the mono development back-ports offered there, so I'm unfortunately not able to provide that right now. If no one else is able to help then I'll make a small ubuntu install to see if I can help. -Matt On Wed, Aug 5, 2009 at 10:24 AM, Paul Larson paul.lar...@canonical.comwrote: Hi Matt, Could you please take a look the triage and debugging guide at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume, specifically the Information Gathering section.
