[Bug 967399] Re: [11.10] Elantech trackpoint does not work Lenovo
Hi Khadijah Mitchell, Why did you close the issue for Precise? From what I read in this thread, the Ubuntu kernel devs are not willing to integrate the patch and wait for upstream - while there is nobody actually pushing the patch upstream. As I currently see it, there is actually only a slim chance of having this problem fix by default in the close future. Re: [Bug 403610] Re: kde 4.3 Multiple Monitors tells lies
So digging in the bug reports (kde bug #180437) revealed those buttons for positioning are intentionally left out. Compare to recent SVN http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/workspace/kcontrol/randr/outputconfig.cpp?view=markup // FIXME: RandRScreen::applyProposed() has a bit of code for positioning // outputs, but it's commented out and might not work as is. Until someone // gets this to work, it's probably better not to show these controls. positionLabel->setVisible(false); positionCombo->setVisible(false); positionOutputCombo->setVisible(false); and once you had a look at RandRScreen::applyProposed you know why it is not working. So unless somebody works on it, this feature just has not yet been coded. -- kde 4.3 Multiple Monitors tells lies https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/403610 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

@ Cerey: Maybe your problem is related to bug 340578. [Bug 340578] Re: [Jaunty][UXA] Compiz is unusably slow
I'm the guy from the duplicate and I agree this is the same bug. Please note that "slow" really means that the _whole_ screen gets updated less than every two seconds. There is also not much CPU used by compiz. The only thing which still works as usual is the mouse cursor. [Bug 342161] Re: Compiz VERY slow since last update (0.5FPS)
Ok, Compiz PPA didn't help. This bug only occurs with UXA enabled. UXA now seems quite unstable so I reverted back to EXA (with all it's known problems). Perhaps UXA will get more stable once the new Intel driver is upgraded. I also see the same issue for the gnome-system-monitor. This issue also only appears when the Murrine theme engine is used. Perhaps there is some RGBA support activated?
