[Bug 973096] Re: Nvidia driver causes xorg crash

2012-09-04 Thread Michal Bližňák
I've installed 304.43 on my Ubuntu 12.04 (Gnome-Shell) with Nvidia 8800
GT and experienced no crashes for whole week so it looks like this bug
is really fixed in this driver release.

[Bug 973096] Re: Nvidia driver causes xorg crash

2012-06-07 Thread Michal Bližňák
I can confirm that moving to 290.10 solved the problem (at least for me
- 8800 GT).

[Bug 459670] Re: Significant overall system's performance degradation in Karmic

2010-04-06 Thread Michal Bližňák
Currently I'm using kernel 2.6.32.9 (http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.32.9/) and it seems to work fine. The bug I've
reported affects the official Ubuntu release (9.10) only. Other kernels
downloaded from kernel.ubuntu.com worked fine (at least for me).

[Bug 459670] [NEW] Significant overall system's performance degradation in Karmic

2009-10-24 Thread Michal Bližňák
Public bug reported:

Overall system's performance under high CPU load significantly degrades
on Ubuntu 9.10 RC karmic. For example during compilation of source code
on all CPUs/cores all system's responses are very slow and the system is
nearly unusable. The problem occurs only with kernel shipped with this
distribution (2.6.31-14-generic, 32bit). With kernels downloaded from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ (tested with v2.6.31.5
and v2.6.32-rc5) everything works fine so it looks like there is
something wrong with scheduler's configuration. Observed on Lenovo
ThinkPad R61i with Ubuntu 9.10 RC 32bit.
