This bug was also relevant, but has been marked as CLOSED/WONTFIX

[Bug 297707] Re: DHCP feature for network-manager-openvpn with TAP required

2017-01-03 Thread Mike Auty
Gregor, the TODO documentation you were looking for is at:

https://cgit.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/tree/TODO#n119

although, the branch referenced in it is no longer available. It is
reasonably detailed, but unfortunately requires better knowledge of C,
D-bus and NetworkManager than I have. If you manage to get an
implementation going but need a tester, please let me know!

[Bug 1168197] Re: 'USB Keyboard+Smartpad' not detected as touchpad in 'Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro 700t'

2014-02-16 Thread Mike Auty
As I mentioned in the bug, I'm running Gentoo, not Ubuntu, so I'm afraid
that command won't work. However, I'm happy to provide specific
information that may help with this bug, just let me know what
information you need.

[Bug 1168197] Re: 'USB Keyboard+Smartpad' not detected as touchpad in 'Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro 700t'

2014-02-14 Thread Mike Auty
I'm suffering the same problem but not under ubuntu, I have a XE700T1C-
A02US which is now running Gentoo. The device is detected as a USB HID
mouse during boot, and xinput sees it as USB Keyboard+SmartPad, so none
of the psmouse elantech tricks appear to work. No one elsewhere seems
to mention the same USB vid/pid combination with regards to linux. I'm
running the latest kernel (3.12.2 at the time of writing). Any tests I
could run or information I can provide, just let me know, I'm eager to
get this problem solved (primarily to turn off tapping).

[Bug 252094] Re: Poor graphics performance and rendering errors on Intel GM965 system, Ubuntu 8.10

2008-11-14 Thread Mike Auty
Paulo, I think Gentoo (and I would imagine any other distro using a
similar set of packages) also has a similar problem, although it's
phrased differently:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/237468

I'm certainly experiencing font glyphs missing in Google Earth. Also,
although it's not a good performance guide, I'm down to 50 FPS in
glxgears, with direct rendering, EXA, composite enabled but no
compositing manager running, xorg-1.5.2, intel-2.5.1, libdrm-2.4.1
(allegedly), mesa-7.2 and kernel-2.6.27.

[Bug 226801] Re: Totem Mp3 Seek

2008-06-18 Thread Mike Auty
In case anyone is still encountering this problem, I've also recently
run into it. I still haven't determined what causes the problem, but my
guess would be it chooses some unusual plugin that can decode mp3 but
can't handle seeking, rather than a more common one that can do both.
I've specifically noticed, it seems only to do it to some mp3 files
(those that file identifies as 'RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio,
MPEG Layer 3'). File incorrectly identifies a lot of my other mp3s as
data or correctly as 'Audio File ... with MP3 encoding', and these totem
doesn't seem to have a problem with. I hope that helps in some way...
