I notice this bug as well randomly at startup as well. Holding down the command key only shows shortcuts for the letter keys 's,a,f,t', not any of the number shortcuts. This error was due to me installing the add-ons from the web, not using the packages in synaptic. installing the following packages (removing the extensions from thunderbird first): lightning-extension calendar-google-provider calendar-timezones fixed all these issues.
